My Top Six Spring Jewelry Essentials for Any Budget
Happy second day of April!! While we’ve all been cooped up for a couple of weeks now, I’ve been making a real effort to “show up for myself” everyday and usually succeeding (and for those days that you don’t, cut yourself some slack— these are hard times!). While admittedly a lot of days I’ve been business on top/PJ party on the bottom, I’ve been upping my daily WFH looks with a few statement jewelry pieces that truly boost my mood and make me feel much more polished and focused. I’m not quite sure how my clothes will fit after this quarantine, but thankfully our accessories will always fit the same!!
So here are my top 6 essential jewelry picks for the Spring — for every budget! Some I’ve already been wearing on repeat and the rest are already at the very top of my wish list. Happy shopping, social distancing style!
1. Chain Link Necklace
Splurge: MONICA VINADER ALTA CAPTURE CHARM NECKLACE
This may be the best investment piece from one of my go-to brands, as it’s totally customizable with 36 clasping links and an adjustable clasp. Those endless styling options bring the cost per wear way, way down. It looks equally fab layered or on its own.
Steal: BAUBLE BAR SMALL MICHEL CURB CHAIN NECKLACE
I can never get enough of Baublebar and this thick, glossy statement chain necklace is under $50 and will dress you up for any Zoom meeting.
2. Statement Signet Ring
Splurge: JENNIFER MILLER DIAMOND INITIAL PINKY RING
Jennifer Miller makes so many chic demi and fine jewelry pieces, and this beautifully delicate gold signet ring is perfect for when you want to up the ante just a little with some diamonds.
Steal: ESTÉE LALONDE FOR DAISY JEWELLERY GODDESS MEDALLION SIGNET RING
If you follow my social media you know that I basically haven’t taken off this ring for the past six months. And the 18ct gold plate (over silver) has the most beautiful finish that is every bit as shiny as the first day I wore it.
3. Chunky Hoops
Splurge: ALEXIS BITTAR CRYSTAL CRUMPLED METAL HOOP EARRINGS
If you’re not yet familiar with Alexis Bittar, please join me in the love… they make the most incredible, sculptural statement pieces which add that X factor to any look you can imagine. And the colored crystals on these twisted metal hoops give them even more depth. These are still under $250 and you can actually find a lot of other Alexis Bittar pieces for under $150 and even under $100. Seriously, check them out!
Steal: MEJURI CHUNKY HOOPS
Mejuri makes some of my favorite hoops and these are a great deal for under $100. They’re 18ct gold vermeil and it’s a very thick layer of gold (over sterling silver), meaning that the plating lasts for wear after wear after wear… the perfect finishing touch for those FaceTime calls.
4. Rectangular Bead or Chain Bracelet— A friendship bracelet that’s perfect for engraving!
Splurge: MARCO BICEGO DELICATI COLLECTION 18K YELLOW GOLD RECTANGLE BEAD BRACELET
Hand engraved by Italian artisans, this 18K gold flat bead bracelet is the perfect introduction to truly fine jewelry. And while we can’t travel for a while, all of Marco Bicego’s collections are deeply inspired by his travels and celebrate the art of craftsmanship.
Steal: MONICA VINADER LINEAR CHAIN BRACELET
One of my favorite pieces of hers for under $200, I’m loving the contrast between the glossy curved bar and the twisted rope chains. Engrave your own personal message on the bar for that friend or family member you miss seeing!
5. Something Blue— it is spring after all, so some bright colors are in order, no?
Splurge: LAGOS BLUE CAVIAR BRACELET
One of my very favorite collections of one of my very favorite brands. The turquoise on this bracelet is so intense it’s like staring into the ocean.
Steal: BRINKER AND ELIZA WATCHFUL EYE BUBBLE BRACELET IN CARRIBEAN BLUE
One of my favorite brands that I’ve discovered in the last year or so. All of their jewelry is handmade in Connecticut and they simply make the most gorgeous statement pieces (that don’t break the bank). These exquisite eyes are hand painted cabochons on 24K gold plated brass.
6. Charm Earrings
A (slightly more) splurge: JULIE VOS PARIS HOOP & CHARM EARRING
Still a very good value at under $150, they make these in a number of different stones (I have them in sapphire) and the charm is removable if you just want to wear the beaded hoop. A great delicate option from one of my longtime favorite brands.
Steal: ASTRID AND MIYU STAR AND MOON EARRING CHARM & BASE HOOP EARRING IN GOLD
Astrid and Miyu just came out with this charm earring collection and I’m obsessed with all of them — and the price points could not be better!! Perfect to stack if you have multiple piercings, but even if you’re like me and just have one, they are so perfectly delicate and elegant and classic.
