NYFW SS20 Beauty Trend Round-up
For a show that made its debut only this summer, the HBO Insta-hit Euphoria has already made its mark on the fashion industry. The beauty trends during NYFW were undoubtedly influenced by the show, and the big takeaway is the “natural” or no-makeup look, which has predominated the last few seasons, is taking a back seat. Electric hued eyelids, graphic eye art, these are among the much bolder than bold trends we saw going into spring of 2020. Now, I’m giving you a breakdown of the whole show.
1. Eclectic, super-saturated eye palettes like this neon look on the Nicole Miller runway.
And last but most definitely not least, Marc Jacobs, with makeup maven Pat McGrath leading the way — using Marc Jacobs beauty products, of course.
2. Graphic Eyeliner
Cynthia Rowley- adding her characteristic whimsical element and keeping with the Dr. Seuss theme of the collection.
3. Slicked back hair — with door knocker earrings.
4. Goth/Grunge/Punk
Pretty Alabaster skin and lips to match, dark liner, short bangs — very Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice.
Same no blush and super pale lips, and heavy liner adding a punk do.
5. Scarves as Hair Accessories
Classic style wasn’t totally dead, however, as seen in retro-inspired looks from L’Agence, Cho Cheng and Kate spade.
