My Favorite Moisturizes for Winter

My Favorite Moisturizers to Hydrate My Skin With This Winter

As we gear up for winter with fuzzy sweaters and thicker socks, we run into the trouble of helping our skin look as bright and vibrant as the merriment the holidays bring. It’s truly difficult to deal with dry skin, chapped lips, and a dull complexion when the weather itself isn’t helping better our situation.

As someone who loves wearing makeup, I am all too familiar with the struggle of working on an imperfect base because my foundation refuses to cooperate with my skin. But fret not, my years of trial and error have led me to stellar products that remove the stress from my tresses and the holiday season in general.

Show winter who’s boss with these all-time favorites.

Put that toner on, ASAP

I can’t imagine my life before I learned that toner should be applied immediately after washing my face. Facial skin is extremely susceptible to the harsh air after it’s stripped of oil and dirt. Left with no protection, it will result to dryness and patchiness.

I love my Fresh Beauty Rose Deep hydration facial toner. The rosewater in this toner helps soothe my skin while the rose flower oil helps nourish it. It also contains hyaluronic acid which helps attract and lock in moisture, making my skin smooth and supple. I’ve tried many formulas that dry my skin out, so finding a toner that moisturizes is definitely key!

Stock up on some oils

My skin loves oil-based products during the winter season. Contrary to what some people think, oil-based products don’t leave you with greasy skin – you just have to find one that perfectly suits you. I absolutely adore everything from Josie Maran. They use argan oil which is good for hair growth, dandruff, and scaly skin.

I lather a good amount of Josie Maran’s 100% Pure Argan Oil on my hair and Josie Maran’s Whipped Argan Oil on my body before I go to sleep. This power duo never fails to give me a fresh and glowy look the next day!

Add color to your skin

I never have time to get spray tans and that’s where my Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer comes into play. I use the fair to medium moisturizer after I step out of the shower, and it gives such a nice subtle self-tan that’s great for my fair tone.

Since my skin is fair with a lot of pink undertones, it can be a challenge to find a self-tanner that looks natural. Thankfully, Jergens give me that golden glow that I’m always looking for at an amazing price point. Plus, it doubles as a moisturizer!

Keep a lip balm (or two) in your bag

Nothing’s as unsexy as dry, chapped lips. Get your pout ready this winter with my favorite Purlisse Daily Lip Nourisher, formulated to moisturize dry skin & cracked lips, undo harmful UV damage, and protect against further damage. This is the one item I always have in my purse!

Put on serum-infused makeup

Finish your dewy look with a foundation that works for you. This one from the Estee Lauder Perfectionist Makeup line is infused with their Perfectionist serum technology that reduces my dry lines and gives me a radiant, youthful glow.

It’s lightweight and breathable but gives me the coverage and confidence I need to go out and conquer the day.

Remember these simple but groundbreaking tips to conquer the winter months. Through small steps, your skin will look absolutely gorgeous as you celebrate with your favorite people this holiday season.
