Keeping it Stylish — and Affordable — Post-Quarantine

As you all know, it has always been my goal here on The Melissa Vale to put a high value on high end craftsmanship without the huge markup, and sharing those favorite brands of mine with you guys!  As we kick off the second half of 2020 and start to resume some normal activities again, TMV will continue to be the destination for tips and tricks for effortless elegance and accessible luxury sources from all around the world.

On that note, I want to introduce you to a New York based luxury handbag company that I discovered not too long ago — on Instagram, actually! Teddy Blake, above all, creates with the mission that luxury can be affordable. To that end, the in-house brand uses the same Italian pelleteries to handpick their leather and the same factories to create their bags as far more expensive luxury brands.

I was attracted to so many of their different collections, but ultimately I chose this blue, croco-embossed Ava bag, because I simply loved its structure.  In person the craftsmanship is even more impressive — the hardware is sturdy yet refined, the stitching is precise, and the interior is a super luxe suede. It also comes with a detachable strap if you want to style it more casually — you could totally pull off this style with some athleisure wear for a comfy yet chic post quarantine outing!

Most importantly, the prices are kept accessible. This Ava bag is currently on sale for under $450, and that is the highest price point in the collection. Many are currently on sale in the $200-$300 range! It’s an amazing value when you consider the uncompromising quality and timeless style of this bags. This has been a priority of the brand from the very beginning and staying faithful to its heritage.

And that is why I am so excited to introduce you all to Teddy Blake! You may check out the Ava bag and the rest of their collections. Drop a line and let me know what you think of them!

This post was in collaboration with Teddy Blake. As always, all opinions and styling are my own. Thank you for supporting all The Melissa Vale partnerships!

xx, M
